Two New Talks, Lightning Talks, and an Arcade After Party

Two more talks have landed on the FastAPI Conf schedule. Marcelo Trylesinski is taking us through the speed story of FastAPI, and Jason Liu is bringing the latest tips for building FastAPI apps with Codex.

The “fast” in FastAPI has always meant fast to build with. But over the years, careful work across Starlette, Pydantic, Uvicorn, and the libraries underneath has made it faster in the other sense too.

In Then, Now, Next: The Speed Story of FastAPI, Marcelo will trace that progress from a quietly CPU-hungry multipart parser to Pydantic v2, Rust-powered JSON serialization, and his own experiments with Rust and Zig. He will share what worked, what did not, where the real bottlenecks hide, and what could make the ecosystem faster next. ⚡

Jason Liu: Building with FastAPI in Codex

In Building with FastAPI in Codex, Jason will show how coding agents can help you develop FastAPI applications for AI. Drawing on his work on the Codex team at OpenAI, he will share practical workflows, sharp tips, and the latest techniques for building with FastAPI and Codex. 🤖

We are also making room for a small block of lightning talks: quick ideas, focused demos, and useful lessons delivered at full speed.

It is a chance to hear more voices from the FastAPI community. More details will be shared soon!

The after party is going to the arcade
